Dentist Fatally Shot Outside South Carolina Strip Club
In a tragic incident, a dentist named Matthew Edward Healey, 57, was shot and killed by law enforcement early Friday morning outside The Trophy Club, a strip club in South Carolina. This unfortunate event unfolded following reports of Healey firing shots while carrying multiple guns in the club’s parking lot, as confirmed by the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon receiving a call at 12:40 a.m., officers promptly arrived at the scene. They encountered Healey, and one of the deputies shot him. Healey sustained at least one gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at a hospital. It remains unclear whether Healey had fired any shots at the law enforcement officers. Despite our attempts to gather further information, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has not responded to our inquiries.
The Trophy Club, an adult entertainment establishment, declined to comment on the incident when contacted by our team. Additionally, Healey’s family dentistry has not returned our voicemail message.
This tragic incident serves as a somber reminder of the complexities law enforcement officers face in their daily duties. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends affected by this unfortunate event.
