Fatal Wrong-Way Crash Claims Lives of Three Drivers in Georgia
Tragedy unfolded on a Monday night as a driver, traveling in the wrong direction on a busy four-lane highway in Georgia, collided with two other vehicles, resulting in the untimely deaths of all three drivers involved. This heart-wrenching incident occurred on U.S. 27, near Roopville, situated to the south of Carrollton.
Wrong-Way Chaos
According to investigators, a Lincoln Town Car was heading north in the southbound lanes of the highway when it collided first with a Mazda Miata and then with a Chevrolet Cruze, both of which were traveling in the correct southbound direction. The impact of these collisions was so severe that both the Lincoln and Chevrolet burst into flames, intensifying the tragedy.
Tragic Outcome
Regrettably, the three drivers involved in the collision did not survive. Despite emergency response efforts, all three lost their lives at the scene, as there were no passengers in any of the vehicles. The collision was severe enough to cause at least one of the vehicles to overturn.
