Woman weeps as she’s found guilty of stabbing friend to death in boozy bloodbath before telling cops ‘I’m a nice girl’

Woman Convicted of Fatally Stabbing Friend: “I’m a Nice Girl”

In a somber courtroom scene, a woman broke down in tears today as she was found guilty of the brutal stabbing of her “good friend,” followed by an emotional confrontation with the police. Learose Cheng, 27, faced the verdict after attacking Dylan Bacon, 39, with a kitchen knife, inflicting eight fatal wounds, following an afternoon of heavy drinking at a pub.

Police were led to Cheng’s residence in Liverpool by a trail of blood, leading to a tense standoff. Cheng initially claimed that Dylan had stabbed her in the leg and then taken his own life to avoid going to jail. However, a unanimous conviction for murder was handed down today by Liverpool Crown Court after a trial.

Footage from body cameras shown to the jurors captured Cheng screaming at officers, saying, “If you’re gonna shoot me, shoot me. I’m gonna die anyway. I’m bleeding.” In an agitated state, she continued to exclaim, “I don’t give a f*. Kill me now.” Eventually, police entered the blood-stained house and found Cheng, partially undressed due to a wound on her leg, stating her innocence and proclaiming, “I’m a nice girl; I’ve done nothing wrong.”

The tragic incident occurred on March 14 last year after Dylan and Cheng spent the day drinking together at the Old Swan pub. The situation escalated when they continued to Cheng’s home, where she proceeded to stab him eight times in the head and torso. Although Cheng admitted causing the fatal injuries, she claimed to have no memory of the events.

DNA evidence played a crucial role in the trial, revealing Cheng’s DNA on a swab taken from Dylan, while his DNA was found inside her bra. Cheng denied any recollection of engaging in sexual activity with Dylan and asserted that she would not have consented, deeming him “not her type.” She explained, “If he would have had sex with me, that would have been the thing that caused me to go off my head and the straw that broke the camel’s back. If someone followed me to my home, come in and did that, that would have really made me lose it.”

Cheng will remain in custody until her sentencing on Friday. Dave Brunskill, Head of the Homicide Support Unit, expressed sympathy for Dylan’s family, acknowledging the pain they endured throughout the trial. Brunskill stated, “Nothing will bring Dylan back to them, but I hope that this conviction will give his family a sense of justice.”
