Reports indicated that Urfan, Batool, and Malik traveled from Sialkot in Punjab to Dubai on an Emirates flight. Subsequently, they were scheduled to transfer from Dubai to London Gatwick, with their arrival expected the same evening. However, confirmation of their boarding in Dubai remained pending.
Sources in Pakistan disclosed that they surrendered in the hope of being allowed to return to the UK, following negotiations conducted through legal channels. A spokesperson for Sialkot police, Khan Mudassir, confirmed the arrest and subsequent transportation of the three individuals to the UK.

Sara Sharif’s lifeless body was discovered at her residence in Woking on August 10, prompting a homicide inquiry. Her father, Urfan, had placed a distress call to emergency services from Pakistan.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Sara had endured “multiple and extensive injuries” over an extended period. Sara’s five siblings, aged between one and 13, were located during a police raid at their grandfather’s home in Jhelum.
During an inquest on August 29, it was suggested that Sara’s death was “likely to be unnatural.” Nevertheless, a specific cause of death remained undetermined, leading to an adjournment of the inquest until February 29, 2024, to enable continued police investigations.
