Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake Clear the Air After MTV VMA Encounter
In a recent video that surfaced from the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, fans were left puzzled by a seemingly heated exchange between musicians Megan Thee Stallion, 28, and Justin Timberlake, 42. However, sources close to the situation have clarified that it wasn’t as intense as it appeared.
In the video, Megan is seen getting her hair fixed backstage while Timberlake and the rest of ‘NSync pass by in the background. Timberlake suddenly turns toward Megan, and she becomes animated, appearing to engage in a heated conversation. Megan gestures with her finger and shakes her head while Timberlake continues walking.
This incident occurred just before or after Megan’s sizzling performance of “Bongos” with Cardi B. While fans were buzzing about the exchange, an insider revealed that Timberlake was merely introducing himself to Megan. According to the source, “Meg loves Justin. She was saying ‘No, no, no, we’ve never met before.’ It was their first time meeting, and she was excited.”
Later in the evening, Timberlake reunited with his ‘NSync bandmates, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick, to present Taylor Swift with the Best Pop Video award for “Anti-Hero.” Swift, visibly surprised by the reunion, warmly embraced each member and even shared friendship bracelets with Bass. She expressed her admiration for the ’90s icons, calling them “pop personified.”
Timberlake’s eventful night marked his return to performing with ‘NSync, a decade after their last performance together at the VMAs in 2013 when they honored him with the Video Vanguard Award by performing a medley of their hits.
Recent rumors suggest that ‘NSync might be releasing new music for the first time since 2002, and the original members may also make appearances in the upcoming Trolls Band Together animated movie, in which Timberlake has been involved since its 2016 debut.
