Moriah Plath Moves Out, Leaving Family Drama Behind
Welcome to Plathville star Moriah Plath has made a big move, leaving her brother Ethan Plath and his wife, Olivia Plath, behind. In a sneak peek of the upcoming season 5 premiere of the TLC reality series, Ethan, 25, discovers that Moriah, 21, has abruptly left their shared home, along with Olivia, 25, and Olivia’s brother Nathan Meggs.
Ethan, as he enters the now empty house, finds a note on the counter from Moriah. The note explains that she’s moving out, hoping they can talk later. Ethan is left frustrated and surprised, especially since Moriah had previously mentioned staying for a few more weeks after his return from a trip to Europe. It all feels a bit theatrical to him.
Family’s Ups and Downs
The Plath family, known from their reality show Welcome to Plathville, has had its fair share of ups and downs. The show first gained fame in 2019, shedding light on the life of Kim Plath and her estranged husband Barry Plath. The couple announced their separation in June 2022.
As Ethan looks at Moriah’s now-empty room, he can’t help but be impressed by how clean it is.

The season 5 trailer hints at more drama between Moriah and Ethan’s wife, Olivia, who used to be best friends. Moriah claims that Olivia made up stories to justify her strong emotions.
In a confessional, Moriah also alleges that Olivia lied about Kim using Ethan’s credit card to steal from him. Earlier, there were speculations about trouble in Ethan and Olivia’s relationship, but Olivia addressed them by stating they would share any news themselves.

Ethan and Olivia Plath, who tied the knot in 2018, have faced numerous challenges since their marriage. They exchanged vows in October 2018, facing tension with Ethan’s conservative parents, Kim and Barry Plath.

Season 5 of Welcome to Plathville, premiering on Tuesday, September 5, on TLC, will delve into the Plath family’s struggles as Kim and Barry navigate their divorce. The couple announced their split in June 2022 and have seven other children aside from Ethan and Moriah.
The teaser for season 5 reveals Kim’s new romantic interest, giving her “the warm fuzzies,” while Barry takes up exercise to cope with the divorce. However, not everyone in the family is ready to move on, as Micha admits to still feeling bitter about the divorce.
