Mexican Military Helicopter Crashes, Killing Three Crew Members

In a tragic incident, an armed forces helicopter crashed in northern Mexico's Durango state, claiming the lives of three military personnel, according to defense officials.

The crash occurred on a fateful Thursday as the helicopter was en route to a base in Canelas township. Regrettably, all three crew members on board the Bell 412 chopper lost their lives in the accident.

The Golden Triangle

The crash site is located in an area known as the "Golden Triangle," named because it's where the borders of three Mexican states meet: Durango, Chihuahua, and Sinaloa. This region is notorious for its involvement in drug production and trafficking.
