Minneapolis Officer Under Investigation for OnlyFans Account

A Minneapolis police officer is now the focus of an internal investigation within her department after it came to light that she maintained an OnlyFans account featuring explicit content. FOX 9 Minneapolis reported that the Minneapolis Police Department initiated this inquiry after a member of the public was pulled over by the officer and recognized her from her additional online activity.

The officer's OnlyFans page is not publicly accessible and is exclusively available to her paid subscribers, who pay a monthly fee. While the internal investigation is underway, the Mayor's office seems relatively unfazed, stating that as long as it's about private, paid content, there might not be an issue. However, any potential policy violations will be determined by the police chief.

"If all we're talking about is naked pictures behind a paywall, the mayor has no issue. However, the chief will determine if there are any policy violations," a spokesperson from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey's office told FOX 9.

Officer's OnlyFans Profile Revealed

The officer's OnlyFans profile describes her as a "35-year-old MILF Free Spirited. Overly Optimistic. Creator of Sexy Content to Please Others." Notably, it doesn't mention her profession as a police officer.

The Minneapolis Police Department confirmed that the investigation into her account was launched by Police Chief Brian O'Hara. However, there is a divide among city officials regarding whether the existence of this account should lead to disciplinary action.

"We take any allegations of policy violations seriously, and the Chief has ordered an investigation," read a statement from the MPD.

Policy Violations Under Scrutiny

The Minneapolis PD is now tasked with determining whether the officer's OnlyFans account breaches department policy, which requires officers to refrain from any behavior that might compromise their ability to uphold the law or discredit the police agency.

Similarly, the Minnesota Police Officers Standards and Training Policy emphasizes that peace officers should conduct themselves in a manner that does not tarnish their personal lives, serving as an example to all.

Despite this recent revelation, the officer is reported to be highly respected by her colleagues at the police department.

Comparisons to a Previous Case

It's worth noting that a similar case in Michigan last year resulted in a female police officer resigning due to her involvement with an OnlyFans account. In September 2022, Officer Janelle Zielinksi was found to be posting explicit content online, leading to an investigation and her suspension by Detroit Police Chief James White.

"One of our officers through her Instagram account had a paywall set up and was posting pornographic videos on the other side of the paywall," said Chris Graveline, the director of the Detroit Police Department's Professional Standards section.

Graveline emphasized the importance of maintaining an unsullied private life for police officers, as it reflects not just on the police department but the entire community.

This incident highlights the delicate balance officers must strike between their personal and professional lives when engaging in activities outside their law enforcement roles.
