Woman Injured at Kent Hospital Grounds Triggers Police Response

A woman has sustained injuries within the premises of a Kent hospital, prompting a significant police reaction. The incident unfolded at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, where the injured woman was promptly taken to the Accident & Emergency department for treatment.

Following the distressing event that occurred on Monday morning, the woman was later moved to a specialized trauma unit. Although police presence remains at the scene, authorities from Kent have clarified that no criminal offenses took place during the incident.

Kent Police reported, "At approximately 9:10 am on Monday, September 4th, 2023, Kent Police was called to support our partners at the location of an occurrence outside Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham. A woman had sustained injuries. Our officers responded, and no criminal activities have been reported."

An official from the NHS conveyed to KentOnline, "One of our patients received care at our Emergency Department and has subsequently been transferred to a specialized trauma unit. All regular hospital services continue to operate without interruption."
