Exclusive: Kidnapping Suspect's Son Speaks Out in Porters Corners, N.Y.

A dramatic scene unfolded shortly after law enforcement officers left a property linked to the alleged kidnapper of Charlotte Sena, Craig Ross Jr., in Porters Corners, New York. A man claiming to be Ross's son arrived at the scene and didn't hold back.

"Yeah, he's my father, but why do I have to deal with this stuff?" he shouted, not revealing his name. "Everyone is asking me all this. I don’t know anything. I hate him and hope he dies in prison."

The man parked in the driveway, entered the house, and continued to speak through a screen.

Ross, 46, had listed this property as his address after being arrested on Monday for the abduction of 9-year-old Charlotte Sena, who had been riding her bike in Moreau Lake State Park.

A state police car had just left the driveway when two individuals, including Ross's claimed son, approached the house.

Ross was arrested Monday evening after allegedly leaving a ransom note in the Sena family's mailbox. Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that state police had witnessed him dropping off the note and matched fingerprints to those taken from Ross during a 1999 drunken driving arrest.

Charlotte Sena had gone missing while on a bike ride at Lake Moreau State Park, located 10 miles north of Saratoga Springs, on Saturday. Her family discovered her bike shortly after she went missing, prompting a park shutdown and a days-long search. However, she was not found there.

Hochul announced that Charlotte was rescued from a cabinet inside Ross's disheveled camper, parked behind his mother's trailer in the nearby town of Milton.

Ross was booked into the Saratoga County Jail on a first-degree kidnapping charge after hours of questioning by detectives.

Law enforcement spent several hours searching both properties, collecting bags and boxes of evidence.

Charlotte's family expressed their relief at her safe return, thanking the FBI, New York State Police, and all those who supported their efforts to bring her home.

As Charlotte begins her recovery, her parents have taken time off work to care for her and her two sisters.
