Landlord Tragically Killed at His Own Pub Ahead of Anniversary Trip

In a heartbreaking incident, a heroic landlord lost his life at his own pub in Maidstone, Kent, the night before his planned anniversary trip with his wife. Matthew Bryant, the victim, was found with stab wounds outside the Hare and Hounds on Monday night.

Emergency services arrived around 6 pm, but despite their efforts, Matthew was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. A woman in her 50s, known to Matthew, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
