Dancing With the Stars Season 32 Cast Announced
Mauricio Umansky, Alyson Hannigan, and more are gearing up to compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy on the upcoming season 32 of Dancing With the Stars. The full cast was unveiled during the Wednesday, September 13th episode of Good Morning America. The season's professional dancers kicked off the excitement with a high-energy choreographed routine before revealing the celebrity participants.
Ariana Madix was the first official cast member to be disclosed back in July. Judge Derek Hough teased, "This season on Dancing With the Stars, we are going absolutely mad — mad for Madix." He encouraged viewers to bid farewell to drama and embrace the dance floor. This announcement followed the media frenzy surrounding Madix's breakup with boyfriend Tom Sandoval due to his affair with co-star Raquel Leviss.
As the premiere of Dancing With the Stars season 32 draws nearer, the anticipation among the stars themselves is palpable. Judge Derek Hough expressed his excitement, saying, "I actually enjoy when they do the announcement, I like to experience it myself. I'm like, 'Oh yeah, let's find out.'"
Charity Lawson joined the cast with a heartwarming surprise from her fiancé, Dotun Olubeko. During the live After the Final Rose segment of the Bachelorette season 20 finale in August, Olubeko joyfully revealed the news to Lawson. He shared, "You know that we've talked about this, about how amazing this opportunity would be, and I am so happy to be the one to tell you that you're going to be on Dancing With the Stars."
Prior to this season's premiere, the show underwent a few changes. Tyra Banks announced in March that she wouldn't return as the host, leaving the role to her co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, alongside former pro Julianne Hough. Julianne expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "The show holds such a special place in my heart."
With a rich history dating back to its 2005 debut, Dancing With the Stars has featured exceptional professional dancers, including Derek Hough, Cheryl Burke, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Some of the show's stars have achieved significant success in their careers.
This season, the judges' panel will also see a change. After the retirement of longtime head judge Len Goodman in November 2022 and his passing in April, Derek Hough revealed that they would not replace Goodman. Instead, the panel will consist of Derek himself, along with fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, leaving room for occasional guest judges.
Don't miss the premiere of Dancing With the Stars on ABC, airing Tuesday, September 26th, at 8 p.m. ET. Check out the full cast list below:
