A BIGAMIST soldier could be jailed after his secret life was exposed on Facebook.

Jason Hayter, 48, was caught out by his daughter who messaged his new wife on the social media app.

He yesterday admitted marrying a woman while already being wed at Norwich Magistrates' Court yesterday.

It heard how he married Sara Hayter in April 2016 - after marrying Tracey Larkcombe in 2010.

Ms Hayter contacted police after discovering he had never divorced Ms Larkcombe.

Prosecutor Sally Harris said he had met both women on dating websites in 2008 and 2010.

He took Mrs Larkcombe's surname when they wed and they had their second child in 2015.

But he had simultaneously been seeing Mrs Hayter - and the couple had their first child in 2014, reports Eastern Daily Press.

After they married in 2016, the pair also welcomed twins two years later.

The court heard statements from his two wives - who both told how Hayter would go missing for long periods of time.

Mrs Larkcombe said while in Germany with the army he was "always going backwards and forwards to the UK for training. I never thought anything was wrong".

However, after one disappearance she received a text from him saying: “I don’t love you anymore I’m gay”.

Mrs Larkcombe said he walked out on her and his children - leaving her to deal with debt collectors.

Meanwhile, Mrs Hayter said he would explain absences as being due to his training as a paramedic for London Ambulance Service.

She said: “We would always make plans together and at no point during this time did I suspect he had other families.

She added: “I don’t want anything more to do with him. I did not see this coming. He has manipulated me.

“I believe everything he has said to me is a lie. I don’t think he knows the truth anymore.”

Mrs Hayter found out about his wife when their daughter messaged Mrs Larkcomve on Facebook asking how she knew her dad.

Charles Judge, mitigating, said he had been in the armed forces for 24 years and had since been diagnosed with PTSD and suffered a stroke last year.

He claimed his marriage in 2016 had been at a time when the 2010 marriage had broken down.

He will be sentenced next month and magistrates were told the offence carries a maximum sentence of seven years.
