Acclaimed Chef Admits Stalking Ex-Partner

An acclaimed chef, David Watts, has confessed to stalking his former partner after she began a new relationship, according to testimony presented in court. Watts, a 43-year-old chef trained by Raymond Blanc, repeatedly visited his ex-partner, Melissa Gray, without notice or invitation. He even went so far as to spy on her and her new male companion through their windows.

Additionally, Watts tampered with the CCTV cameras at Gray's residence. In a disturbing incident, he made a comment expressing a desire to harm Gray's new partner.

Watts had previously been in a relationship with Melissa Gray in 2021, resulting in the birth of a child. However, his behavior became obsessive after they separated earlier this year, as revealed in Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court.

Serena Edwards, the prosecutor, described his actions as excessive. Watts has pleaded guilty to stalking and is awaiting sentencing next month.
