Tragedy Strikes in Slovenian Rafting Accident
A tragic event unfolded in northwestern Slovenia when a U.S. citizen lost their life, and two others suffered minor injuries during a rafting mishap. It all happened on a serene Tuesday as two rafts, each carrying 16 passengers and a guide, set out on a journey down the scenic Soca River.
The disaster struck when one of the rafts collided with a hidden rock, tossing passengers into the river. In an unfortunate turn of events, the second raft rushed to help but also met the same unyielding obstacle, plunging passengers and their guide into the water.
Sadly, a 55-year-old American man was swept away by the river’s current, and his lifeless body was later found. Meanwhile, two fellow U.S. citizens sustained minor injuries but managed to reach safety on the riverbank, alongside the other passengers.
