Britain’s Wealthiest Gypsy Enjoys Lavish Yacht Getaway
Alfie Best, the richest Gypsy in Britain with a net worth of £745 million, indulged in a glamorous week aboard his £9 million superyacht, cruising around Cannes and mingling with celebrities.
Alfie’s luxurious vacation included private chef-prepared meals and jet boot lessons from a personal tutor onboard. Despite his break, he managed to keep in touch with work through Zoom calls.
Alfie’s wealth stems from his empire of residential park homes, known as Wyldecrest Parks, which earned £32 million last year. Taking a well-deserved break, he treated his daughter Elizabeth and son Alfie Jr. to a Cannes getaway on his yacht, aptly named Wyldecrest.
“We chartered the yacht around Monaco, Cannes, and St Tropez,” Alfie revealed. “I was working on Zoom in the afternoon. I enjoyed good lunches and dinners; there’s a chef onboard.”
Not content with staying on the water, Alfie arranged for a private tutor to teach him how to hover using jet-powered boots. His verdict? “Honestly, terrifying,” he admitted.
Alfie spent his days exploring the beautiful Bay of Cannes. “We visited Cannes Island, a restaurant exclusive to yacht owners,” he recounted. “I’ve been there before when Elton John was performing. It’s surreal.”
He shared a typical day: “I wake around 9 am, have breakfast at 9:30 am, check emails, explore town for two hours, enjoy water activities like Sea-Doos and paddleboarding, do business mentoring, sunbathe, and have dinner on the yacht.”
This luxury trip came at a cost. “To charter the yacht for a week costs around £85,000, plus fuel and docking, totaling about £100,000,” Alfie revealed.
Alfie’s yacht, a Sunseeker 90 Ocean, features a watersports speedboat tender, jetski, lounge, swim platform, elegant sleeping quarters, and a fully equipped bathroom with a sea view. Guests can dine outdoors to the sound of waves, creating a truly lavish experience.
