Sunshine Today, Rain Tomorrow for Britain
Brits can savor some delightful sunshine today, but the weather is gearing up for a change. Most areas are set for a cool start to the day with pleasant sunny intervals, according to the Met Office.
As the day unfolds, clouds will roll in from the northwest, and rain is on the horizon for Northern Ireland and western Scotland during the afternoon. The winds will pick up, potentially causing coastal gales in these regions.
However, in the southeast, it will stay warm, with temperatures reaching 22°C around 4 pm in London.
Met Office meteorologist Claire Nasir explained, “Rain will start moving in by lunchtime across Northern Ireland and western Scotland.” She added that from Yorkshire to most parts of England and Wales, the afternoon should bring fine conditions, with some patches of cloud, occasional sunshine, and temperatures in the high teens to low 20s. Expect a cool and wet Wednesday evening.
Scotland will remain windy overnight, with the rain clearing from the east. Meanwhile, the rain will persist across northern England and Wales. The night will feel milder compared to recent days, especially in the northern regions.
Thursday is anticipated to bring cloudy skies with scattered bouts of rain in central areas. The south will remain warm with sunny breaks and temperatures reaching 24°C, while the north will experience cooler conditions with a mix of sunshine and showers. Northern areas can expect windy weather.
Looking ahead, Friday is set to remain changeable with more rain in the forecast. In the southeast, Saturday will see a return of warmer and more humid conditions, possibly accompanied by thunderstorms. Sunday brings the likelihood of more rain and thunder.
So, enjoy the sun while it lasts, because those rainy days are just around the corner. Stay prepared for the weather swings ahead.
