Law enforcement authorities in Texas are actively seeking Dmitri Humphrey, the suspect in a tragic shooting incident that claimed the life of a woman and her dog in Harris County. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has launched a manhunt for Humphrey following the incident that occurred on a fateful Saturday.
Sheriff Ed Gonzalez revealed that deputies were dispatched to respond to a shooting report at a residence on E. Mossy Oaks Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered a woman who had tragically lost her life due to multiple gunshot wounds. In addition to this, Humphrey is alleged to have also taken the life of the woman’s faithful canine companion.
The victim, described as a woman in her twenties, had been at the residence to assist a friend who was attempting to leave an alleged abusive relationship. This grim incident, according to Sheriff Gonzalez, is yet another heart-wrenching outcome of domestic violence, underscoring the urgent need for intervention and support in such cases.
Deputies at the scene found both the woman and her loyal dog suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, compounding the tragedy that unfolded in Harris County, Texas.

Individuals with any information regarding Humphrey’s whereabouts or details related to the shooting are urged to reach out to Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Sheriff Gonzalez also issued a stern warning on social media, cautioning against assisting a fugitive, as such actions could result in legal consequences.
