Three Men Arrested for Alleged Human Trafficking in Fort Bend, Texas
Fort Bend County, Texas – Law enforcement officials in Fort Bend County, Texas, have apprehended three individuals accused of smuggling immigrants into the United States and keeping them against their will, according to authorities.
The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office received a welfare check call around noon on August 30th at a residence on Meadow Hollow Drive in Meadows Place, Fort Bend County. Upon arrival, deputies discovered several immigrants allegedly being held against their will, prompting them to launch a human trafficking investigation.
Human Trafficking Investigation Unfolds
Investigators from the sheriff’s office’s Human Trafficking Unit swiftly joined the scene. Their preliminary investigation revealed troubling information related to kidnapping and human smuggling.
Five of the immigrants were found inside a residence, having reportedly been smuggled from Mexico. Shockingly, these individuals were confined to a garage without air conditioning while awaiting additional payment.
Charges and Bonds
As a result of their findings, three suspects—Jose Aguirre (24), Jose Martin (22), and Orlando Flores (21)—were charged with smuggling persons. While bond amounts for Martin and Flores were set at $500,000, Jose Aguirre’s bond remained pending due to an additional charge of aggravated kidnapping.
