Romance Brewing in ‘Selling the OC’ Between Tyler Stanaland and Alex Hall
Fans of “Selling the OC” have been on the edge of their seats as Tyler Stanaland’s divorce from Brittany Snow played out between seasons. Now, the question everyone’s been asking is whether Tyler has found love with his co-star, Alex Hall.
In Season 2 of the Netflix series, Tyler, 34, and Alex, 35, faced countless inquiries about their chemistry. Initially, they denied any romantic involvement following Tyler’s split from Brittany Snow. However, things took an unexpected turn in the Season 2 finale when they shared a passionate kiss in a hot tub.
Tyler shared, “I think we’re still navigating our friendship. Obviously, you see in season 2 [that] we explore some things. It leads to a steamy moment, and I think we’re still kind of trying to figure it out, but we remain really close friends, and I don’t have an answer [on where we stand] for you at the moment,” during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, joined by Alex and their co-stars, ahead of the Friday, September 8, premiere.
Alex teased that viewers will need to tune in for Season 3 to find out what happens after their unexpected make-out session, admitting her nerves about crossing the line with Tyler. She said, “You see throughout season 2 the dynamic of our friendship, and it’s easy and it’s comfortable because there it is, just that. It’s a friendship. There’s no strings attached, and I think adding that other element is scary… Some things are awkward, you know what I mean? And you can’t avoid it. So we’re just navigating.”
Tyler echoed her sentiments, saying, “It’s both a blessing and a curse to explore a relationship that starts out as a friendship… There’s a lot of things that come with it, and there’s a lot more at stake as well.”
Costar Polly Brindle chimed in, expressing her support for the blossoming romance: “I was like, ‘Come on, guys, this is going to happen.’ You can feel it building up. It’s kind of like the Ross and the Rachel of the office. I was all for it!”
The cast of “Selling the OC” has been known for their complicated and flirtatious office relationships since Season 1. Tyler Stanaland’s close friendships with Alexandra “Alex” Hall and Polly Brindle raised eyebrows when the show premiered in August 2022, especially considering Tyler was married at the time.
Both Alex and Polly vehemently denied any inappropriate relationships with Tyler after Season 1 documented their flirty outings. Tyler confirmed that Snow had watched the series and found it entertaining. However, the couple announced their separation the following month, emphasizing their mutual respect and need for personal growth.
Tyler and Brittany Snow’s divorce was finalized in July, closing a chapter on their relationship. “Selling the OC” continues to entertain viewers as the drama and romance unfold, now streaming on Netflix.
