Newlyweds Alexandra Jarvis and Sergio Ducoulombier, stars of Netflix’s hit series “Selling the OC,” find themselves in the midst of controversy as questions about their relationship arise on the eve of the Season 2 premiere, including a surprising suggestion from fellow cast member Austin Victoria, who hinted at them being involved in a swingers’ party.
During a joint interview with Us Weekly ahead of the Season 2 release on September 8, Jarvis reacted humorously to Austin’s claim. She quipped, “I don’t know if we have enough time to unpack that. Actually, Austin, I would like to know what drugs you were on that night for you to think that that’s what happened.”
As Austin and Jarvis exchanged words on a Zoom call, he clarified that he didn’t accuse Jarvis of being a swinger but rather attending a swingers’ party. Jarvis swiftly responded, denying the party’s swinger status, saying, “When I left the party, it was not a swingers party. So I don’t know what you brought to the party,” as Austin mentioned he was only present for a brief 15 minutes.
Jarvis continued, explaining their night, “And I was on my way out the door when I saw you. … What’s funny is we were actually picking up some friends to go to another Halloween party, stopped by, picked up our friends [and] we’re on the way out the door. I don’t even know whose house that was.”
On the show, the term “swingers party” was initially brought up by Tyler Stanaland after Austin mentioned the house party. Austin described it as “the strangest party I’ve ever been to,” emphasizing the presence of wealthy men and beautiful women, sparking intrigue and speculation.
In Season 1 of “Selling the OC,” the cast’s complex office relationships raised eyebrows. Tyler Stanaland’s close bonds with Alexandra “Alex” Hall and Polly Brindle were particularly noted when the show premiered in August 2022, considering Tyler’s marital status.
During the interview with Us, Austin reiterated that he thought it was simply a “weird party” overall. Jarvis expressed her amusement at the rumors that stemmed from it and involved Polly Brindle in the conversation. Polly clarified that her earlier comment labeling Jarvis as a swinger was meant in jest and questioned Jarvis’s sense of humor.
The unresolved drama left viewers hanging, but there’s good news for fans of “Selling the OC” as Season 3 is on the horizon, with plenty of filmed footage to provide answers. Alex Hall, who ended Season 2 in a passionate moment with Tyler, assured fans that they would discover more about their relationship as the cameras continued rolling.
Alex explained, “You see throughout season 2, the dynamic of our friendship and it’s easy and it’s comfortable because there it is just that. It’s a friendship…Some things are awkward, you know what I mean? And you can’t avoid it. So we’re just navigating [what’s next].”
“Selling the OC” is now available for streaming on Netflix.
