Sara Sharif’s father & stepmother were ‘urged to flee Britain’ after her death by UK solicitor, Pakistani lawyer claims

British Solicitor Urged Sara Sharif’s Family to Flee UK, Claims Pakistani Lawyer

In a startling revelation, it has been disclosed that Sara Sharif’s father and stepmother, Urfan Sharif and Beinash Batool, sought refuge in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, following the tragic demise of their daughter in their Woking, Surrey home. The 10-year-old girl, Sara Sharif, was found dead on August 10th.

The Sharif family’s Pakistani lawyer, Malik Asif Taufique, has asserted that they were strongly advised to leave the United Kingdom by a British lawyer acquaintance. According to Taufique, the Sharifs were gripped by fear in the aftermath of Sara’s tragic death, with the British lawyer warning them of severe consequences in the UK, including potential loss of custody of their children. Additionally, they were allegedly cautioned about potential mistreatment based on their Muslim faith and the possibility of a significant scandal.

Taufique further emphasized that Urfan Sharif and Beinash Batool had maintained regular contact with UK law enforcement since their departure.

The situation took a new turn as law enforcement officials arrested ten close relatives of Urfan Sharif while attempting to locate him. A post-mortem examination had revealed that Sara had endured “multiple and extensive injuries” over an extended period.

The police spokesperson in Jehlum, Pakistan, revealed that Sharif and Batool were currently in hiding, while their detained relatives were undergoing questioning as part of an ongoing investigation.

Batool, Sara’s stepmother, recently made her first public statement since the tragedy, describing Sara’s death as “an incident” and expressing her and Sharif’s willingness to cooperate with British authorities.

The couple departed the UK accompanied by five children aged between one and 13 years old. Surrey Police have been eager to question them regarding Sara’s untimely demise.

Sara’s mother, Olga Sharif, residing in Yeovil, Somerset, shared the heart-wrenching experience of viewing her daughter’s lifeless body, noting visible injuries. Olga Sharif had separated from her husband in 2015, and while she retained equal rights to see her children, it became increasingly challenging to exercise those rights over time.

Muhammad Sharif, Sara’s grandfather, has described the girl’s death as an “accident” and expressed confidence that the three family members who left Britain for Pakistan would ultimately return to cooperate with the police.

The initial discovery of Sara’s body occurred at her family home in Woking, Surrey, following a 999 call made by Urfan Sharif, who was located in Pakistan at the time. Surrey Police have identified three individuals they wish to speak with in connection to the ongoing investigation: Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, and Urfan’s brother, Faisal Malik. All three had departed for Islamabad, Pakistan, with five children in tow.

Notably, there is no extradition treaty between the UK and Pakistan in place, complicating the legal aspects of this case.
