Sara Sharif cops reveal update as they search 2 UK homes a day after dad releases video from Pakistan

Update on Sara Sharif’s Case: UK and Pakistan Homes Searched in Ongoing Investigation

In a continuing effort to uncover the truth behind the tragic death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif, British law enforcement has disclosed that they have conducted searches at two residences in the United Kingdom. Sara Sharif’s life came to a devastating end at her residence in Woking, Surrey, just over four weeks ago.

Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, left the UK for his native Pakistan, where he made an emergency call to British authorities. This prompted an international manhunt for Mr. Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, and Sara’s uncle, Faisal Malik, with the aim of bringing them back to the UK for questioning.

Recently, a video statement featured Mr. Sharif and Ms. Batool expressing their willingness to cooperate with UK authorities and defend their case in court. However, they also voiced their concerns about the living conditions they are currently facing.

In Pakistan, police have carried out raids on at least 20 homes in their search for the missing individuals. Simultaneously, authorities in the UK have initiated searches at two locations connected to the Sharif family: their previous residence on Eden Grove Road, Byfleet, and their most recent address on Hammond Road, Horsell. These search operations are expected to continue into the following week, and police cordons will remain in place at both addresses during this time.

Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman, from the Surrey Police and Sussex Police Major Crime Team, emphasized the importance of gathering information about Sara’s life and her family. He urged anyone with information to come forward, highlighting that even seemingly insignificant details could contribute to the investigation. Information can be reported through various channels, including a dedicated portal in both English and Urdu, a phone call to 101, or an anonymous tip to the independent charity Crimestoppers.

While the exact cause of Sara’s death remains unclear, a previous post-mortem examination revealed she had suffered “multiple and extensive injuries” likely inflicted over an extended period. Her uncle, Imran Sharif, reportedly claimed that Sara died after falling down a flight of stairs and breaking her neck.

Urfan Sharif, along with Ms. Batool and Mr. Malik, left Islamabad on August 9, just a day before Sara’s lifeless body was discovered. Authorities in Pakistan have indications that Urfan briefly returned to his family home in Jhelum. As the search intensifies, it’s worth noting that there is no extradition treaty between Pakistan and the UK, which may pose challenges in bringing the suspects back for questioning.

To report information anonymously, individuals can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

The investigation into Sara Sharif’s tragic death continues, with law enforcement agencies in the UK and Pakistan working diligently to uncover the facts surrounding this heart-wrenching case.
