The sparks fly as Whitney, 36, tells Meredith, 51, that she’d admit to her claims if they were true. “You’ll know I own it if I said that you did that,” Whitney asserts, dispelling rumors about Meredith’s alleged use of ketamine. However, Meredith, the esteemed jewelry designer and lover of bathtubs, isn’t buying it. She counters, “Whitney, I don’t believe that you’ll stand behind your words.” She further explains her disbelief, pointing out that she thought they left New York on good terms, only to find herself portrayed negatively due to her bathing habits.
Whitney tries to downplay her comments about Meredith’s bathtub preferences as a joke, but Meredith is far from amused. Their exchange unfolds like a courtroom drama, complete with references to Jen Shah’s legal case. Speaking of Jen, she won’t be joining the cast for Season 4, as she’s serving time for conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
Meredith confronts Whitney about the underlying implications of her comments. “It was a dig on my marriage and a dig on my bath habit,” Meredith retorts. She clarifies that the joke hinted at her having an unkempt home. Despite Whitney’s claim that she’d never assume Meredith has a dirty house, the tension remains palpable.
