Meredith Marks Hints at Potential Revelation Regarding Heather Gay’s Black Eye on RHOSLC Season 4
Hold onto your seats, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City devotees! Meredith Marks, one of the show’s stars, may have just dropped a major hint about one of the biggest mysteries in reality TV history: How did Heather Gay end up with that mysterious black eye?
When Meredith, aged 51, was questioned by Us Weekly on September 6th, she tantalizingly replied, “Maybe.” To add to the intrigue, when asked to clarify her response, Meredith coyly said, “Both.”
This isn’t a rock-solid confirmation that we’ll get the full scoop on The Case of the Mysterious Black Eye in Season 4 of RHOSLC, but it’s more than fans have received since the dramatic Season 3 reunion in January. At that time, Heather, 49, claimed she couldn’t recall how the injury happened because she had “blacked out” after a night of heavy partying with her friends.
Heather confessed, “I woke up terrified, in my pajamas with my phone plugged in.”
Initially, Heather kept her story vague because she feared how her fellow Housewives would react if she revealed the truth. She said, “When production came into my room, I told them, I said, ‘I have no idea, I have no memory.’ And then it spun out of control after that, and I take full responsibility, and I’m really sorry. It’s terrifying.”
Andy Cohen, aged 55, confirmed that Bravo investigated the incident but found no concrete evidence explaining the cause of the injury.
Two months later, Heather made a surprising claim that Bravo’s cameras were rolling when she got the bruise. She expressed her frustration with how the incident was edited and noted that there should be footage of it. However, it remained unseen.
While Meredith remained tight-lipped about her knowledge of the black eye incident, she did confirm that she had read Heather’s book, despite Heather’s earlier assertion that none of her castmates had read it.
Meredith shared, “Maybe I didn’t speak up in the moment or I don’t remember what unfolded there, but I did actually read Heather’s book — or 90 percent of it. There were some portions I skipped through, but I thought she did a great job. Heather is very well-spoken and she’s witty and funny, and I thought she did a fantastic job with the book.”
Meredith wasn’t as pleased with her fellow Housewife, Whitney Rose, who confronted her in the Season 4 premiere about taking a bath with her husband, Seth Marks. Meredith explained that baths are a crucial time for her to unwind, and she values this personal time.
However, Meredith was more concerned about her history with Whitney, who is her third cousin. She mentioned, “She just has attacked a lot of things that are important to me, like my father’s memorial or whatever. And then it’s always another reason for it. Like, ‘Oh, I was told this, that or the other.’ … Well, that’s great, but you still said it, so great, you’re being shady. Good for you. You still have consequences to your actions.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City airs on Bravo on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
