Missing Hiker’s Remains Found at Glacier National Park
Tragedy struck at Glacier National Park in Montana as the remains of 32-year-old Adam Fuselier were discovered on Friday. The National Park Service made an announcement confirming that Fuselier’s body was found on Reynolds Mountain in the park at 11 a.m.
The search for Fuselier, a resident of Castle Pines, Colorado, commenced on Wednesday after his car was located at Logan Pass, the park’s highest reachable point by vehicle. He was last in contact on Tuesday afternoon and had plans to start his climb on Reynolds Mountain that morning.
Rangers were alerted when Fuselier failed to return on Wednesday morning, prompting a swift response.
Hiker’s Car Located Near Park Peak
Fuselier’s car was spotted at Logan Pass on Wednesday, where he was last known to be. He had intended to begin his ascent of Reynolds Mountain that morning. The search area was narrowed down with the help of valuable tips from fellow hikers, as mentioned in the Friday statement by a park spokesperson.
A U.S. Forest Service helicopter transported Fuselier’s body from Reynolds Mountain to West Glacier, Montana, according to official reports. The cause of death remains under investigation.
Joint Effort to Locate Hiker
In a collaborative effort, more than 50 searchers, including a dog team and two helicopters, joined the mission to locate Fuselier. Local and federal authorities also lent their assistance to the search operation.
