Passengers Terrified as Plane Battles Violent Mallorca Storm Turbulence

Terrifying Turbulence: Flight to Majorca Battles Storm Fury

Hold onto your seats, folks! A flight to Majorca had an epic showdown with wild turbulence last Sunday as it tried to land on the storm-ravaged Spanish island. Yeah, you heard it right – the plane turned into a roller coaster in the sky. It’s like a scene out of a crazy movie, but unfortunately, it was all too real.

Passengers on this turbulent adventure were flying from Alicante in southern Spain to the Balearic Island in the Mediterranean. Imagine this: the plane is shaking like a leaf in the wind, people gripping their seats for dear life, and some even turning a bit green around the gills. Note: Thankfully, no emojis of people puking here.

Estela Orts, a dancer and acrobat known for her Pirate Show gigs in Magaluf, decided to give us a sneak peek of this wild ride on her Instagram. In the video, the plane looks like it’s trying some interpretive dance moves while passengers are either praying, screaming, or doing their best to keep their lunch where it belongs.

Orts summed it up perfectly: “THIS IS IT.” She thought the plane was playing a risky game of “drop it like it’s hot,” and the poor passengers were hanging on for dear life. The whole ordeal felt like forever, in a bad way. Note: Sorry, no “LOLs” for obvious reasons.

The weather wasn’t playing nice at all. Majorca and parts of north-east Spain were pounded by some fierce winds at 75mph and heavy rain. Families had to do their best Olympic sprint to escape the wrath of the storm, and flights were like, “Nah, not today.”

But wait, there’s more drama. Some folks on a P&O Cruises ship got a taste of the wild weather too. They had a “weather-related incident,” which basically means the ship had a turbulent tango with the storm, leaving a few people nursing some minor injuries. And if you thought the skies were the only stage for chaos, think again. Cars on the mainland got a surprise swim as they had to be rescued from floodwaters. Talk about a wet and wild weekend!

So, to sum it up, Majorca’s skies turned into a bumpy theme park ride, and folks on land weren’t having much better luck. Estela Orts went through this insane flight and lived to tell the tale. She’s calling it her “BORN AGAIN” moment, and she’s practically writing a love letter to the pilot who managed to steer the plane through winds that could’ve made it the world’s biggest kite.

Kudos to the passengers who managed to smile through the madness. One young soul was captured on camera, grinning like they’re enjoying a roller coaster instead of a plane ride from hell.

As for Orts, she’s sitting tight in Alicante, waiting for a less dramatic flight back to Majorca. And all we can say is, “Bon voyage, Orts. May your next flight be as smooth as butter, with a sprinkle of unicorn magic to keep things interesting.” 🛫
