Employee Shoots Woman in McDonald’s After Argument
In Hendersonville, North Carolina, a disturbing argument at a local McDonald’s took a tragic turn on Monday morning when a man, who was a restaurant employee, allegedly shot and killed a woman.
The Hendersonville Police Department swiftly responded to reports of a shooting just before 11 a.m. at the McDonald’s located on Four Seasons Boulevard.
The investigation unveiled that the 30-year-old female victim and another woman had a heated argument at a nearby bus stop. Seeking refuge, the second woman entered the McDonald’s, but the dispute followed her inside.
Store management intervened, attempting to separate the two women. The victim eventually left but returned a short while later. On her return, she encountered the store manager once more, along with a male employee.
During this encounter, the victim reportedly touched the male employee, who, in response, allegedly shot her with a concealed handgun. He quickly fled the scene, later being apprehended at an elementary school his child attended.
The McDonald’s corporation has yet to provide a response to inquiries from Fox News Digital regarding the incident.
A school resource deputy recognized the suspect later in the day at the school, given prior awareness of the incident. The suspect was apprehended in the school parking lot without further incident. Although authorities did not believe the suspect had intentions of causing harm at the school, the institution was placed on lockdown until the suspect was taken into custody.
The as-yet-unnamed suspect is expected to face charges of first-degree murder and will be booked into the Henderson County jail.
