Seattle Man Robbed at Gunpoint and Tased in Beacon Hill Neighborhood
A shocking incident unfolded over the weekend in Seattle’s Beacon Hill neighborhood, as a man was targeted by two masked suspects in a bold robbery attempt. Surveillance footage captured the disturbing scene, revealing how the victim was tased and robbed in broad daylight.
Around 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, a man of Asian descent approached a house and rang the doorbell. Suddenly, two masked individuals rushed towards him from behind, demanding his belongings. One of the suspects pointed what appeared to be a handgun and ordered, “Take that wallet out right now. Everything you got.”
Caught off guard, the victim initially hesitated, possibly due to a language barrier between him and the suspects. Without warning, the second masked suspect discharged a taser, causing the victim to collapse to the ground.
As the victim lay incapacitated, the suspects rifled through his pockets, struggling to remove rings from his fingers. In a desperate attempt to conceal their identities, one of the suspects turned the home surveillance camera away from their direction.
After the robbery, the suspects hastily departed from the scene. The victim, audibly out of breath, managed to regain his footing and walk away from the premises.
Seattle Police have confirmed that an ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend the culprits responsible for this brazen crime. Disturbingly, it appears that this incident is part of a troubling trend. Masked teenagers, armed and operating in groups of three to seven, have been specifically targeting elderly Asians within the Rainier Beach, Rainier View, and Beacon Hill neighborhoods.
During the robbery, the suspects repeatedly deployed the taser to maintain control over the victim for a longer duration. The stolen items included the man’s wallet, gold necklace, car keys, and iPhone.
The local police have issued a warning to the community, urging residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions. The suspects’ identities and their potential involvement in other criminal activities remain under investigation. The safety and security of the affected neighborhoods remain a priority for law enforcement agencies as they work to bring those responsible to justice.
