Man Arrested for Suspected Murder in West Norfolk Shooting

In a somber turn of events, a man has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder following the tragic shooting of a 65-year-old woman. The victim, identified as Lesley Page, met her untimely demise at the West Norfolk manor home on Monday, September 11.

Authorities were alerted to the scene after receiving reports of a body discovered at the Lady’s Drove residence in Emneth, near Wisbech, shortly before 7:30 am. It was at this location that they stumbled upon the grim discovery.

A post-mortem examination was conducted the following day, revealing preliminary findings that the cause of death was gunshot wounds to the torso.

The suspect, a man in his 60s, was promptly arrested on Monday under suspicion of murder. He was transported to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remains in custody at present.

Subsequently, detectives have been granted additional time for further investigation by applying for an extension of detention at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 12. This extension allows an extra 36 hours for the ongoing questioning of the suspect in connection with the tragic incident.
