Man, 30, arrested as Gabriela Kosilko, 26, vanishes after going food shopping – as cops launch water searches

Man Arrested in Connection with Disappearance of Young Woman

In a concerning turn of events, a 30-year-old man has been taken into custody by the police as they intensify their search for 26-year-old Gabriela Kosilko, who mysteriously vanished last week. Gabriela, a Leicester resident, was reported missing after she failed to return home from work on Friday, following her absence the previous evening.

The details surrounding the arrest remain undisclosed, leaving the public curious about the specific charges the man faces.

Gabriela Kosilko was last seen at a store near her workplace at 11:30 PM on a Thursday evening. A noteworthy development in the case came when her red Audi A1 was discovered four miles away on a different road at 4:20 AM the following day, raising additional concerns.

Law enforcement authorities have initiated water searches in the vicinity of a nearby lake, focusing on areas where Gabriela’s vehicle was found. A portion of the investigation initially led officers to cordon off an area behind a local Tesco shop, although it has since been reopened to the public.

Detective Inspector Laura Sanderson from Leicestershire Police expressed growing apprehension for Gabriela’s well-being, saying, “As time passes, our concerns for Gabriela’s safety escalate. Since her last sighting on Fosse Road North, there have been no further sightings of her. However, we believe that the location where her vehicle was discovered could be crucial to locating Gabriela.”

While the arrest is considered significant in the ongoing investigation, it’s important to emphasize that this remains a missing person’s case. Authorities are eager to hear from anyone who may have seen or had contact with Gabriela since Thursday evening.

Individuals with information that could aid in the investigation are encouraged to reach out to the police by dialing 101 and referencing case number 484 of September 1. The search for Gabriela Kosilko continues, with hopes that further information will lead to her safe return.
