Major Incident on Cleddau Bridge: Bus Collides with Car
In a shocking incident that occurred this afternoon, multiple people are feared injured after a 52-seater bus collided with a car on Cleddau Bridge in Pembrokeshire.
The fire service has confirmed that many passengers on the bus have sustained various injuries. Furthermore, the bus driver is presently trapped inside the vehicle, and a multi-agency response is underway to assist.
Dyfed-Powys Police are on the scene as well, and they’ve initiated road closures to manage the aftermath of this unfortunate accident.
The Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service issued a statement, revealing, “Crews responded to a road traffic collision involving one 52-seater bus and one private motor vehicle. Many of the bus passengers are suffering from various injuries. One driver is currently severely trapped, and crews are actively working to extract the trapped driver while providing necessary first aid. The Air Ambulance and Dyfed Powys Police are also present.”

As a result of the accident, the A477 between Pembroke Dock and Haverfordwest is closed in both directions at the bridge, specifically between the Honeyborough and Pembroke roundabouts.
Multiple rescue crews, including those from Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven, Haverfordwest, Tenby, and Narberth, have been deployed to the scene, along with the Air Ambulance.
