Man Charged with Murder in 3-Year-Old Girl’s Christmas Day Death
In a troubling turn of events, Maine State Police have charged a man with murder in connection to the tragic death of a 3-year-old girl on Christmas Day. Tyler Witham-Jordan, a 29-year-old resident of Edgecomb, was taken into custody on Friday, as reported in an official statement by the police.
The incident unfolded on the morning of December 25, 2022, in Edgecomb, when a distressing 911 call was made, revealing that the young child, Makinzlee Handrahan, was in a critical condition, struggling to breathe. Tragically, despite prompt medical attention, she was later declared dead upon arrival at a hospital.
The medical examiner’s office in Augusta has officially categorized the child’s passing as a homicide. However, the exact cause of her death is presently being withheld by the authorities.
