Louisiana Woman Arrested for Allegedly Stabbing Grandfather in Face Over Hygiene Dispute
A shocking incident unfolded in Louisiana as a young woman found herself under arrest after reportedly attacking her own grandfather. The confrontation stemmed from concerns about her personal hygiene routine. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office issued a press release detailing the incident.
According to authorities, 22-year-old Carrington Elise Harris was taken into custody after an investigation revealed her violent outburst against her grandfather. The disagreement arose when her grandparents confronted her about her hygiene habits at their home in Keithville, Louisiana.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at the residence. The elderly couple recounted a tense argument with their grandchild, sparked by their simple request for her to take a shower. The situation quickly escalated as Harris allegedly grew agitated and began causing damage to the property inside the house.
In an attempt to manage the situation, the grandparents tried to restrain Harris. However, she managed to break free and made her way to the kitchen. There, she reportedly grabbed a knife and proceeded to stab her own grandfather in the face.
As tensions continued to escalate, Harris made a hasty escape, disappearing into the nearby woods. Law enforcement officers launched a search operation and eventually located her hours later, still hidden in the woods. She was promptly taken into custody without further incident.
Following her arrest, Harris was booked into the Caddo County Correctional Center, where she remains held without bond. Meanwhile, her grandfather, who has not been named, received medical treatment at Willis-Knighton South and the Center for Women’s Health in Shreveport, Louisiana. The extent of his injuries resulting from the stabbing has not been disclosed by the sheriff’s office.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of conflict resolution and maintaining open communication within families. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, with no further updates available at this time.
