According to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department, 21-year-old Carlos Loera and 18-year-old Ashley Guzman were tragically shot and killed in the Harbor City neighborhood of Los Angeles at approximately 6:30 p.m. on that fateful Monday.

Sudden Violence Unfolds

Authorities were alerted to the incident through an “ambulance shooting” call, prompting a swift response from Harbor City area police officers. Upon their arrival, they discovered a male victim, later identified as Loera, and a female victim, identified as Guzman, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Heartbreaking Loss

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that Loera succumbed to his injuries at the scene, marking a devastating loss for the young family. Guzman, the mother, was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to her gunshot injuries as well.
