Josh Duhamel showed off his doomsday-inspired lakeside property on a new episode of In Depth With Graham Bensinger.
The 50-year-old actor revealed that he owns a remote lakeside cabin located in Minnesota and prepared with survival resources, including three wells and food plots.
The Shotgun Wedding star recalled first acquiring the 26-acre property about 15 years ago when his father brought him to the ‘tropical paradise’, which is he said he enjoys because it is ‘away from everything’.
As a self-proclaimed doomsday prepper, he has also built two cabins, an outdoor sauna, and functional outhouses on his lakeside property.
During the same interview, he opened up about his traumatic upbringing and also revealed the real reason why he split from his ex-wife, Fergie, after eight years of marriage.

‘This is where I get a lot of joy,’ he said about how the lush greenery and lake is healing for him.
He said he acquired the first half of the property for $75,000 and later expanded it with more land for $100,000.
He said the overall value must be so much more now since he has put so much of his time and money into the property.
He had also fixed up the original buildings into ‘Four Seasons compared to what it was before’.
The All My Children alum said how much the property is now worth ‘doesn’t matter’ to him as he has no plans on ever selling it.
As for why he built and prepared the resources on his property in this way, he said he wanted to not only be ready for anything but have a place to relax in nature.
‘We live in a really delicate society where [if] we lose our cell phones, we’re going to lose our godd* minds,’ he said adding that it’s scary to think about not being able to get ahold of fuel or food.
‘I just wanted a place to be able to get away too until things get back to normal,’ he added.

Vintage decor: Inside his home, he showed off a wallpaper of vintage newspaper advertisements from the ’50s that he found inside the cabin and used as decoration
Multiple cabins: On the property, he also has a second guest cabin with a stunning view of the lake
Expansion: He explained that he bought the second cabin and adjoining land for $100,000 to expand his property to span 26 acres
Red cabin: In the video, he said the cabin was originally this bright red color — which stood out to him. He fixed up the cabin into a guest house
Rustic bathroom: During the clip, he showed Bensinger the fully functional outhouse — which he explained is quite a hike from the main cabin and used to be the only toilet on the property
Original outhouse: He also said that the outhouse came with the property and he hasn’t changed it
Where he likes to relax: He explained the lush greenery is ‘where I get a lot of joy’
Waterfront property: His cabins reside next to a large lake surrounded by lush trees
Taking a dive: He likes to frequently swim in the lake as he demonstrated in the video
Playing in the water: He also owns various recreational watercrafts such as a jetski — which he also demonstrated in the video
He shares the property with his wife, Audra Mari, 29 — who is currently expecting their second child together and is 21 years his junior
‘Who knows if that’ll ever happen, but it’s fun,’ he continued. ‘It’s a fun thing to pretend it’s going to happen.’
‘I have this fear of having to move out here and live off the land,’ he told Bensinger. ‘I don’t know if that’s ever gonna happen, but I feel like it’s a skill I need to learn how to do.’
The Transformers vet reflected on his traumatic upbringing and recalled a time where his father was homeless amid his parents’ divorce.
He also spoke about preparing to welcome his second child with his wife, Audra Mari.
