Man Convicted of Triple Murder in Central Indiana
In a significant legal development, a jury has reached a verdict, finding a man from central Indiana guilty on three counts of murder. The conviction stems from a chilling incident in 2021, where three lives were tragically lost due to execution-style slayings. The victims include Larry Stogsdill Jr., aged 42, his son Brannon Martin, aged 20, and Brannon’s girlfriend Grace Bishop, aged 19. The accused, Chad Grimball, 42, hailing from Thorntown, also faces firearm offense charges related to the killings.
The victims were discovered on September 8, 2021, inside an apartment in Lebanon. Law enforcement responded to reports indicating a possible fatality involving three individuals. The victims had all suffered fatal gunshot wounds to their heads.
This grim event unfolded amid an ongoing feud between one of the victims and an associate of Grimball’s. According to a probable cause affidavit, this feud played a role in the tragic events.
Verdict Reached and Healing Process Begins
The trial’s conclusion saw Grimball being found guilty of the murders, following a legal process that included his self-representation. While the situation is grim, Deputy Boone County Prosecutor T.K. Morris expressed his condolences to the families of Grace, Brannon, and Larry. He emphasized the potential for the verdict to contribute to the healing process for the families affected and the community at large.
Upcoming Sentencing and Preceding History
The sentencing phase is set to take place on September 26, where Grimball’s fate will be determined. It’s worth noting that Grimball already serves a sentence for a separate crime committed before the tragic slayings.
This conviction serves as a reminder of the impact of feuds and conflicts on lives and communities. As legal proceedings continue, the hope remains that justice will be served, providing closure and solace to those who have suffered immense loss.
