Despite their incredible intelligence, deep chests, and loyalty to their owners, Lurchers tend to stay in shelters longer than other dogs. Why? People often think they’re too challenging to care for. But Alex is determined to change these misconceptions and show the world how amazing Lurchers truly are.
Alex described Lurchers as trustworthy, gentle, and affectionate, forming strong bonds with their human companions. He wants everyone to know that Lurchers bring a lot of love to their owner’s lives. The Dogs Trust’s Darlington branch currently has eight adorable Lurchers waiting for their forever homes. There’s playful Bailey, star pupil Bella, fetch-loving Bubbles, and more. These dogs are eager to build special bonds with new owners and find a comfy sofa to call their own.
