Horrifying moment XL Bully grabs tiny dog by throat in savage attack as man tries to pull beast off

Terrifying Moment: XL Bully Attacks Tiny Dog in Shocking Incident

In a shocking incident near Liverpool, a terrifying moment unfolded when an XL Bully dog launched a savage attack on a small canine, gripping it by the throat. The incident occurred in Maghull on a Sunday afternoon while the hound’s owner was out for a walk with their pet, and it left onlookers horrified.

The XL Bully, normally a breed of larger stature, managed to break free from its collar and went on the offensive. It targeted a small white dog, seizing it by the throat and violently shaking it in the air. Bystanders rushed to the scene, desperately trying to intervene and rescue the tiny dog from the jaws of the aggressor.

For nearly five tense minutes, they struggled to pry the little dog away from the XL Bully. Fortunately, their efforts were successful, and the attacked dog was freed from the perilous situation.

Merseyside Police received reports of the incident and promptly responded, stating, “We can confirm we received a report that a dog had attacked another dog in Maghull yesterday, Sunday 10 September. At around 4.45pm, it was reported a dog, believed to be an XL bully, had been walking on Old Hall Road when it slipped out of its collar and ran away from its male owner. It then bit another dog before its owner and a member of the public managed to separate them. The attacked dog was taken to a vet for a check-up. The owner of the XL bully has been spoken to by officers.”

Thankfully, the injured little dog survived but required stitches. Meanwhile, an eyewitness revealed on Twitter that the XL Bully’s owner had sustained injuries, breaking four toes while attempting to stop the aggressive dog.

This disturbing incident adds to the growing concerns regarding XL Bully dogs’ behavior and their potential danger to the public. Home Secretary Suella Braverman has expressed her commitment to outlaw the breeding and sale of these dogs, following a recent attack involving an 11-year-old girl and two intervening men in Birmingham over the weekend. Sadly, XL Bully dogs have been linked to nine fatalities, including three children, since 2021.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible pet ownership and measures to ensure the safety of both animals and the public.
