Heathrow Airport train station closed after ‘security alert’ at terminal four

Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Four Temporarily Shut Down Due to Security Alert

Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Four experienced a temporary closure today in response to a reported security alert. The situation prompted Transport for London (TfL) to close the main station at the terminal while they addressed the incident.

TfL issued a statement, explaining, “This station is closed as we respond to a security alert. Passengers can use London Buses via any reasonable route, and their tickets will be accepted.”

A post on a social media platform mentioned that Heathrow Terminal Four was closed and evacuated, with armed police present at the scene. Travelers were urged to check the situation before heading to the airport.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed to The Sun Online that the incident was sparked by a “suspicious package” but was swiftly resolved. The entire incident lasted approximately 20 minutes.

Heathrow Airport has since reopened Terminal Four and resumed normal operations.
