Former Louisiana teacher who allegedly gave birth to student’s baby faces rape, other charges: authorities

Former Louisiana Teacher Arrested for Alleged Student Pregnancy

A former teacher from Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, found herself in handcuffs on Tuesday. The reason? She’s accused of giving birth to a student’s child. Yep, you read that right.

Morgan Freche, 33 years old, hailing from Loranger, turned herself in to the detectives. This came after they dug into allegations of sexual misconduct with a minor, resulting in multiple arrest warrants with her name on them.

She’s now looking at some serious charges, including one count of third-degree rape, one count of oral sexual battery, and four counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Serious stuff.

These allegations date back about two years, but they only recently surfaced. On September 24th, detectives learned that a 17-year-old boy had fathered a child with someone working for the Tangipahoa Parish School System. Guess who? Yep, it’s Ms. Freche.

Once the detectives got wind of this, they got to work, investigating these claims. Sheriff Daniel Edwards stated, “This type of investigation is time-consuming and is being handled with great care. Under no circumstances will we be rushed for closure.” They take this stuff seriously.

The school system’s superintendent, Melissa Stilley, also chimed in, saying, “Neither the Board nor this office will tolerate employee behavior which crosses the line in areas such as the proper professional relationships between educators and their students.” She’s made it clear; they’re cooperating with the law enforcement investigation.

So, it looks like Ms. Freche’s teaching days are over, and she’s facing some hefty charges. This is a reminder that actions have consequences, especially when it involves students.
