High School Teacher Arrested for Inappropriate Relations with Student

Who’s in Trouble?
The teacher in question is Lucas Cridlebaugh, a 25-year-old educator at Winter Springs High School. He had a not-so-great week, as he was put on administrative leave on Tuesday and then arrested on Wednesday. Ouch!
How Did It Unfold?
The story began when the student’s mom discovered that Cridlebaugh had been exchanging explicit messages with her daughter. This troubling communication happened during the spring and early summer of 2023. Not cool at all.
It Gets Worse
The sheriff’s office uncovered some even more alarming details during their investigation. They revealed that Cridlebaugh had inappropriate sexual contact with the victim on several occasions right on the school campus. Yikes! Detectives had a chat with the student involved to back up these allegations.

Cridlebaugh didn’t resist the investigation. He cooperated, and that led to his arrest. He’s now facing two counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a minor and three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation of a minor. That’s a serious legal pickle.
