Porta-Potty Door Lands Atop Light Pole After Florida Tornado
In an unusual twist of events, a porta-potty door found itself in an unexpected place after a possible tornado swept through northern and central Florida on Wednesday night, leaving the door lodged firmly in a streetlight. This bizarre sight caught the attention of residents and quickly went viral.
A porta-potty door was sent airborne and ended up perched on a light pole near a McDonald’s in Dunedin, Florida. Ben Napoli shared a video of the peculiar scene with FOX 35, explaining that porta-potty parts were scattered all around.
“The porta-potty parts were everywhere!” Napoli told FOX 35. “Some parts smashed through windows, the basin with the blue liquid spilled in front of the thrift store, and the door ended up stuck in the light pole. It’s crazy to see something like that,” Napoli added.
Tornado watches were issued for much of northern and central Florida that Wednesday night, bringing strong winds, torrential downpours, and the potential for tornadoes. The following morning, images and videos of the storm’s aftermath were shared by law enforcement and residents. The Clearwater Police Department posted pictures of torn-off roofs, fallen trees, and scattered debris throughout the town.
Napoli noted that the damage caused by the possible tornadoes was concentrated in a specific area. “You could tell exactly where it went, and houses and buildings just 50 feet away were completely unharmed,” he observed.
Social media users had a field day commenting on the strange photo of the porta-potty door. One person humorously remarked, “S— hit more than the fan.” Another person quipped, “Just the national flag of Florida.” And one person summed it up by saying, “That’s a very Florida thing to see.”
Tornadoes and severe weather can lead to unpredictable and astonishing outcomes, like a porta-potty door defying gravity to land on a light pole. The power of nature never ceases to amaze us.
