Tragedy Strikes as Florida Skydiver Loses Life in Fatal Fall

In a heartbreaking incident over the weekend, a skydiver from Florida tragically lost his life. Frederick C. Morello, a 69-year-old resident of Ormond Beach, was identified as the unfortunate victim. The incident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday, as confirmed by the Titusville Police Department.

Morello, fully equipped with parachute attire and gear, was found lifeless on the lawn of a residence situated in the 2600 block of Merry Lane. The authorities pronounced him dead at the scene.

James Sconiers, a resident who witnessed the tragic event, recounted, “He hit the ground. Bounced off the driveway into their grass. Almost like a basketball, that’s just how hard he hit the ground, like someone bounced him up. It’s hard.”

Another homeowner shared that their security camera captured the heart-wrenching fall on video. The video revealed that Morello’s parachute had been deployed when he made contact with the driveway.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with further details expected to be disclosed once the inquiry is concluded.

Titusville, a coastal town near the Kennedy Space Center, is the setting for this somber event.
