Emotional Support Alligator Denied Entry at Baseball Stadium

In a surprising turn of events, an “emotional support” alligator, named Wally, was refused entry to a baseball stadium, as confirmed by its owner, Joie Henney.

Joie Henney decided to take his unconventional emotional support companion, Wally, to the home of the Philadelphia Phillies in anticipation of their game against Pittsburgh on a Wednesday. This unexpected visit left onlookers astounded.

Wally, affectionately known as WallyGator, has gained a significant following on social media platforms, with tens of thousands of fans who frequently witness heartwarming moments of people hugging and kissing the friendly alligator.

The purpose of their visit, as Mr. Henney explained to Sky News, was not to watch the baseball game but to meet the players. However, upon their arrival, they discovered that the team was busy with their pre-game warm-up.

Mr. Henney casually remarked, “It was no big deal,” and shared that they simply turned around and headed back home. He also mentioned, “We were going to go in down below [the stadium], but they were practicing for the game and couldn’t have visitors.” Mr. Henney remains optimistic, stating, “They’re going to get a hold of us before they go to their next game. Soon players will get to meet him.”

The policy at Citizens Bank Park, concerning support animals, is readily available on the Phillies’ official website. The policy unequivocally states, “Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training are welcome. All other animals are prohibited.”

Wally’s journey with Mr. Henney began after a friend captured him in Florida and dropped him off as a jest in September 2015. Reflecting on this unexpected twist of fate, Mr. Henney humorously remarked, “But the joke’s on him now.”

In the world of unique support animals, Wally the alligator certainly stands out, offering a different perspective on the power of companionship and comfort.
