Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have dropped a sizzling new music video, “Bongos,” and it’s got everything you’d expect – bikinis, booty, and a possible nod to Queen Bey herself.
The video, released on Friday, September 8, had fans talking, with some keen observers spotting a familiar mansion. It turns out that the luxurious palace featured in the video was the same one Beyoncé used in her “Mood 4 EVA” visual. Fans couldn’t help but notice the resemblance, with one fan exclaiming, “Come on, Black Is King Mansion!” Others pointed out the beach scene with Meg and Cardi, likening it to Beyoncé’s “Standing On The Sun” performance. One fan even tweeted, “Very standing on the ☀️ inspired.”

During a conversation with Whoo Kid for his SiriusXM show, Cardi dismissed the idea of an October release, stating, “It’s not coming around my birthday. It’s not. It’s not. … Matter of fact, I don’t want nothing coming out in the month of October. October is my month.”

In a chat with Whoo Kid, Beyoncé’s name came up again. He mentioned how Beyoncé had sent Cardi flowers in the past and asked if Bey would be on the next album. Cardi didn’t give away any secrets on that front. However, when discussing Megan’s role in “Bongos,” Cardi shed some light on the song’s evolution.
She revealed that the part where Megan comes in originally sounded like “Bong, bong, bong,” intended as the hook. But it felt incomplete, leading them to seek a feature.
“So it’s like a lot of people wanted it to go the Spanish route with it, and I’m like, ‘I could see that,’” Cardi explained. “Of course, you could feel it, but I was like, ‘I feel like I hear Megan on this.’ Like, I know it. I know I could hear her on this.”
With bikinis, booty, and a possible Beyoncé connection, “Bongos” has certainly grabbed the attention of fans and left them speculating about what Cardi B has in store for the future.
