Tributes are pouring in for a young woman, Aisatou Mballow Baldeh, who tragically lost her life in a devastating collision. The incident occurred earlier this month in Norfolk, when her vehicle was struck by a car attempting to evade the police.
Aisatou Mballow Baldeh, aged 28, met a fateful end as her vehicle was hit by a car fleeing from police authorities. The incident, which took place on the A143 at Earsham, Norfolk, has left her family and friends in deep sorrow.
Aisatou’s grieving husband, Bocar, shared his heartache, saying, “Aisa was not just my wife, but my closest companion and soulmate. The dreams we shared for our future are now forever unattainable, and coming to terms with this reality is a daily struggle for me.”
The impact of Aisatou’s presence was felt by many, as Bocar expressed, “Numerous individuals, including our families and friends, will hold Aisa dear in our hearts. Her vibrant spirit and beauty will remain alive in our cherished memories.”
Two individuals have been implicated in connection to her tragic passing. Thomaz Urbaniak, 26, from Newmarket, faces charges of aggravated vehicle taking. Marcin Jablonski, 43, is accused of multiple charges, including causing death by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving while disqualified, aggravated vehicle taking, and criminal damage.
Amidst these developments, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is actively investigating the collision. Steve Noonan, the IOPC director, extended condolences to Aisatou’s family and friends, outlining their role in the investigation. He stated, “Our foremost sympathies are with the family and friends of the deceased. We have reached out to her family to elucidate our responsibilities and the forthcoming steps.”
The IOPC’s inquiry is centered on evaluating the actions and choices made by the police officers prior to the accident. This investigation aims to determine if proper protocols were adhered to. In response to the incident, the IOPC promptly dispatched investigators to gather pertinent evidence from the scene and post-incident police procedures.
