Manhunt Underway for Escaped Suspected Terrorist

Authorities are intensifying their efforts to capture Daniel Khalife, an escaped suspected terrorist, with no official sightings reported yet. The Metropolitan Police has disclosed the path Khalife took to evade Wandsworth Prison, and over 150 officers are actively pursuing him.

Khalife’s escape is believed to have involved him clinging to the underside of a delivery van. The van departed Wandsworth Prison at 7:32 am, exiting through the gates onto Heathfield Road. It then proceeded left onto Magdalen Road, followed by a left turn onto Trinity Road (A214), leading to the Wandsworth Roundabout. From there, it took the first exit onto Swandon Way (A217), and subsequently turned left onto Old York Road, passing Wandsworth Town station. Afterward, it turned left onto Fairfield Street and right onto Wandsworth High Street (A3). The journey continued straight ahead onto West Hill and then onto Upper Richmond Road (A205).

Commander Dominic Murphy acknowledged the significant police mobilization: “Over 150 officers and staff have been tirelessly working to apprehend Khalife since yesterday. We have issued a nationwide alert, resulting in heightened security at our ports and borders. However, as of now, no confirmed sightings have occurred.”

Recognizing the impact on the public, Murphy added, “We are striving to minimize disruptions. It is crucial for the public to assist in this search by promptly reporting any information regarding Khalife’s whereabouts.”

Authorities noted Khalife’s prior military experience, suggesting he might possess heightened awareness of efforts to capture him. While he is not considered an immediate threat to the public, citizens are urged not to approach him if spotted but to call 999 immediately.
