Collector to sell stash of 56 white Porsches at auction – that could make $36MILLION

Collector to Auction Off Iconic Porsche Collection Worth Nearly $36 Million

If you’ve ever dreamed of owning a classic Porsche, here’s your chance. An impressive stash of 60 historic Porsche models, collectively valued at nearly $36 million or £30 million, is going up for auction. However, there’s a twist: every one of these iconic cars is painted in brilliant shades of white. This isn’t just any collection; it’s known as ‘The White Collection.’

The auction is scheduled to take place on December 1-2, 2023, and will be conducted by RM Sotheby’s, a renowned auction house. These Porsches represent over a decade of dedicated collecting by a single owner with a keen eye for perfection, and a strong preference for white paint.

Some of these classic Porsches are expected to fetch over $1 million each. The entire collection, if it reaches its estimated sale prices, could bring in a substantial $35.8 million.

The assortment includes 56 Porsche sports cars, two classic Porsche tractors, and other notable automotive treasures. Some of the oldest models in this collection date back to 1955, showcasing Porsche’s evolution through generations.

The unique aspect of this collection is its focus on white-colored vehicles. Unlike radio and TV star Chris Evans’ famous Ferrari collection, which also leans toward white, this assortment of Porsches dwarfs his collection in terms of quantity.

The auction venue is being kept secret but is described as a ‘Porsche sanctuary,’ meticulously curated to reflect the pristine collection it holds. The cars available for sale are just a selection of what the owner has amassed over the years, with a rare 959 being retained instead of auctioned.

Aside from cars, the auction will also feature Porsche memorabilia, including luggage sets, furniture, skis, bicycles, and even sleds produced by the Stuttgart company.

Classic car experts emphasize the increasing value of rare and desirable Porsches in recent years, making this collection a potentially lucrative opportunity for the owner.

Among the standout pieces is a unique 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, with an estimated value of $2.5 million to $3 million. It boasts custom specifications and is the only 918 Spyder ever produced with this incredible specification.

Other million-dollar examples include a 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 and a rare US-delivered 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight.

This auction promises to be a remarkable event for car enthusiasts and collectors, with the global demand for Porsche and the chance to own these highly sought-after vehicles. So mark your calendars for December 1-2 and be ready to bid on these extraordinary white Porsches.
