Chad Michael Busto: ‘Stalker’ who barged into dressing room and yelled ‘I want to marry Emma Watson’ arrested | Ents & Arts News

Man Arrested for Stalking Celebrities: Chaos Erupts at NYC Fashion Show

A man accused of repeatedly stalking celebrities faces charges after causing a scene at a New York City fashion show. According to the police, Chad Michael Busto was arrested last month for attempting to approach Drew Barrymore and has now pleaded not guilty to criminal trespass and disorderly conduct charges. The incident occurred last week during the Ralph Lauren show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Busto, a 43-year-old individual, was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on October 2nd.

Prosecutors allege that Busto entered a dressing room at the fashion show and began shouting, "I want to marry Emma Watson. Let me speak to Emma Watson. Let me take a photo with Emma Watson." Busto did not have permission to be at the event and refused to leave when asked, leading to his arrest.

It remains unclear whether Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, was present at the fashion show. Notable attendees that day included Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, and James Marsden.

This incident followed Busto's arrest in Southampton Town on Long Island, where he was reported for riding his bicycle on private driveways in search of Drew Barrymore. He had also disrupted an on-stage interview in Manhattan featuring Barrymore and singer-actor Renee Rapp. On that occasion, Busto approached the stage, loudly declaring his presence and expressing the need to meet Barrymore while she was in New York.

Security personnel safely escorted Barrymore off the stage, and Busto out of the theater. Last week, a judge issued a warrant for Busto's arrest after he failed to appear for a court-ordered GPS tag fitting.

Busto's history is marked by arrests and unusual behavior. He has been associated with shelters and church ministries in California and Washington DC. His previous record includes arrests for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and indecent exposure.

In a bizarre twist, Busto filed a handwritten lawsuit last year, claiming ownership of the Hilton hotels chain. This case was promptly dismissed. Additional lawsuits under his name include one that sought to challenge the prison sentences of all criminal defendants worldwide.

In a court filing from 2021, Busto wrote that he was "Born by Force" and blamed his parents for his existence as a "Sort of" human. Another filing by Busto was mostly comprised of Pokémon cards.
